Today was a quiet day. Had it not been for Zorba’s Chinese lesson, we would not have left the house. A nice day. Not very productive, but nice.
I’ve been watching the TV show Raising The Bar and it has me worried that I’m going to be convicted of a crime that I did not commit.
I went to the gynecologist for the first time in two years a couple of weeks ago. I like to stay on top of my checkups, but this one got away from me. A couple of months turned into a year, and before I knew it a year turned into two years! By this time I had convinced myself that something was wrong. Of course, I didn’t do myself any favors by consulting Dr. Google, you know. After some tests a couple of weeks ago, I met with my doctor this week to learn that I’m fine. Phew. I will never put off this appointment again. It is almost as bad as the dentist, the longer you wait between appointments, the more you dread it.
What would you rather do, have your teeth cleaned or go for a pap smear? I’d go for the pap. Less commentary from the person doing the exam.
I’m back on Weight Watchers. I think I’m on my 4th day back on the wagon. So far so good. Yes, I could easily inhale a huge bowl of pasta and an ice cold Coke tonight, but I am choosing to be good.
We got fingerprinted this week! I need to do one more thing and then we’ll be all set to get our I-171H renewal.
Zorba and I went rollerskating yesterday. So. Much. Fun. I loved holding my girl’s hand and doing laps around the rink. We can’t wait to go back!
I’m trying really hard to keep my bathroom clean. I did a pretty good job of it this week and that makes me happy. If someone had told the 16 year old me that a clean bathroom would bring me joy, I would have rolled my eyes and said, “Yeah, right.” But it is true! A clean bathroom is a lovely thing.
